Support Social Justice
Giving is one way to change the world.
In the United States, money is power. Concentrated in the hands of an elite few, it maintains inequity. Pooled together and then directed to those who seek to transform this system, it represents an awesome force for change. The success of grassroots organizing depends on individuals making a commitment to invest, consistently and generously, in change.
We rely on the investment of hundreds of individual donors in social change in the Delaware Valley- people like you giving to the best of their capacity. Please join in donor activism by giving to change, not charity, today.
Each gift, no matter what the amount, is valuable.

Transferring Stock
Gifts of appreciated securities benefit Bread & Roses while you realize substantial tax savings. For example, suppose the 100 shares of XYZ Co that you purchased in 199 for $2000 are now worth $10,000. If you were to sell that stock you would pay tax (usually at 15%) on the $8000 gain. However, if you give the stock itself to Bread & Roses you pay no capital gains tax and you get a charitable tax deduction for the full value of the $10,000. For more information on transferring stock please contact Casey Cook at casey@breadrosesfund.org or call 215-731-1107 x203.

Donor-Advised Grant Program
Motivation for setting up a donor-advised fund varies. For some a donor-advised fund may reduce your taxes now or in the future, while benefitting Bread & Roses Community Fund. Others may choose to create a donor advised fund, either as an individual or a small group, as a means to direct money to a particular area or issue. Click here to read more about new donor-advised fund models at Bread & Roses.
